Que rico! GREAT little place with very tasty food. Fast and friendly service for my wife and me after medical appointment across the street. We had the February lunch special of 3 mini tacos — one order of pollo asado and one of carne asada — and enjoyed visiting with the owner Jose Valencia who hails from a place in Mexico not far from where we live. And we got a photo to show the folks back home.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss this place.
By far THE BEST taco place I’ve been to in months and we’ve been in California for 20 years.
Try the El Maguey burrito.  It is the perfect balance of meat and guac and spice and service is fast.   Wash it down with cold Horchata and you’re in heaven.

Wow!! This hole in the wall was a delight!! The chef, Jose, has earned many awards and worked in a variety of high profile schools/restaurants. 

It’s a humble but really tasty experience. The flavors are complex and authentic. 

It’s a step up from the run of the mill taco shops. 
I recommend it for a quick authentic bite on the go before a day in the park in balboa!

So damn good everytime we go! We found this hidden gem walking around the corner from our hotel. We always rave about it to friends and clients, sefinately try the chorizo burrito. Best thing on the menu! Just remember to get there early enough for it.
